Johanna & Mark's wedding

06th September 2017
There's quite an emotional and humbling back story to Johanna & Mark's wedding, and it's not for me to go into too much detail about it, except to say that the wedding at one point was all but cancelled, but through the love & gratitude of loved ones the day went ahead.

Dave at the Glen was helpful in creating a day for our couple and they came to see me and explain what had happened and we arranged to sort out wedding photography that suited their new plans... and the wedding went ahead... full of more love and emotion than you could imagine.

This was my first visit to The Glen in a while - but also the first of three weddings in a row there. That's just how this job goes sometimes.
There was a spell a few years back when I was at the Glen every 2 weeks or so.
I should have got a locker for my gear :)

On with today's wedding though... for me the whole event was based at the Golf Club, or the beach outside it. It was a very changeable day - weather wise, and Mark had to make a tough call two or three times to stick with the beach - or go inside, but deciding quite strongly each time that it would be a beach wedding.

The wind didn't let up all day, but as Johanna arrived, the sun came out.
In actual fact from the photos you can see that as she walks out from the Golf Club it's grey and overcast, but by the time she was standing next to Mark - we were bathed in sunshine.

A lovely ceremony and chilled photo times and we were all glad to have got to where we were and Johanna & Mark married.

Friends & family will know what it took to get to this stage, and it just makes you grateful to be around people like this.

Here's our slideshow from the day, and below that the link to the full Gallery of photos.

Big thanks & hugs to Johanna & Mark for having me at their big day, it was a real pleasure.
