Amy & Jordan's wedding at Dunglass

14th December 2017

I have a weather system, at a wedding I always just wear a short sleeve shirt... no matter what the weather. The theory being if I can be outside with just a flimsy shirt on, the bride in her wedding dress will be ok too.

For over 2 years that system has worked flawlessly, in all weathers, January to December. But today... today was different.
At home our boiler had packed in so we'd had no heating for a few days (it was fixed the day after this wedding), so I arrived at Dunglass cold already.. and it just got colder.

But... I'm a trooper and on we go... I kept asking Amy if she had a shawl to wear but she was going to just have her dress on.
I bottled it and wore a jacket for the first time in ages.
Sorry Amy :/

We had everything running away on perfect time, and before we knew it, Jordan & his crew of guys were in the Church waiting on our beautiful bride.

Suzie Fletcher led us through a lovely ceremony and even though it was cold, everyone witnessed our happy couple go through all the official bits before the excitement and adrenalin wore off and the cold hit Amy like a slap.
Jordan did his husbandly bit to keep his new wife cozy before we all got outside for a very brief photo then sent all the guests off to the house to warm up.

We took all the family photos in the house before doing a VERY brief session with the newly weds back up at the church.

For me it was quite a short day, as the wedding moved on to The Fruit Farm for big party, while I went back to a cold house.

A lovely wedding, a great fun couple , and Nana was on hand to keep me right ;)

Big hugz to Amy & Jordan.
